A Day In St. Tropez

Summer is just around the corner. Wouldn't you love to spend a week in the South of France?!? In honor of their new St. Tropez inspired collection, my friends at Henri Bendel are partnering with Kensington Tours and giving away a fabulous trip two St. Tropez & Nice. Through May 18th, enter to win this luxurious getaway. In addition to the trip, the grand prize winner also receives a $500 Henri Bendel gift card and Henri Bendel Travel accessories! How amazing is that?!?!

Because I've already won in my own mind (lol) , I already know what I would wear my first day there. I would rock my white JCP jeans & Ikat shirt (last year) and my gold glitter Kate Spade for Keds sneakers (holiday 2013). To keep my look St. Tropez chic, amping up the accessories is essential. I would definitely rock my new Miss Bendel Plus Barrel bag & Voyager Statement Necklace both c/o Henri Bendel. To round out the look I would add my Fashion to Figure straw fedora & sunglasses.

What do you think? To me this look totally screams summer chic. If you haven't seen the latest collection from Henri Bendel, be sure to stop in your local store or check them out online. I hope to see you on the beaches of St. Tropez!

Thrifting Atlanta Style Wars

A couple of weeks ago I had the most amazing time styling a look for the Thrifting Atlanta Style Wars Competition. Now, I wouldn't classify myself as a true thrifter, but I do love mixing in the occasional thrift store find to create a fun look. My style trend to interpret was pastels. I immediately hit my local thrift stores but didn't have to go far. As soon as I walked in, I found a diamond in the rough; a vintage 1980's bridesmaid dress.

Now I know you're probably thinking, WTF?!? Obviously this dress is about 10 sizes too small, but it didn't matter because I knew I was going to deconstruct it. After some creative cutting and elastic maneuvering, I was able to create a wearable skirt. I also repurposed part of the bodice to cover a sun visor to create a fun accessory for my 1920's golfer themed ensemble. Don't ask me where I get these ideas, they just pop in my head and somehow come together to look half way decent.

To round out the look, I added my chambray shirt from Target, Banana Republic sweater & flats, LA Lynn's Accessory Shop necklace/bracelet and Just Fab bag for a pop. Later on at the competition, I added a vintage golf club to further complete my look.

What do you think? I know it's a lot look, but I had so much fun putting it together. Sometimes all it takes is a little creativity to put an interesting spin on an unexpected, thrifty find.

Two-Way Tuesday: Blair meets Serena

Last summer I scored an amazing jacket from the Iman Global Chic collection for HSN. I have told you about Iman's fab collection before, but this jacket for me was EVERYTHING!!! I didn't really know how I was going to style this jacket, but I knew I had to have it. The silhouette of it was very Chanel inspired which instantly made it a classic piece that could be styled a variety of ways.

I originally rocked this jacket back in December for an amazing Christmas Eve Dinner with my mom. I first paired it with my ASOS Curve peplum top and skirt. I was channeling my inner Blair Woldorf from Gossip Girl with my headband and lady like pumps for this look.

Now for the switch... Last Thursday at a #FAB fashion show at Neiman Marcus I decided to channel my inner Serena Vanderwoodsen. I paired my jacket with my black jumpsuit from Fashion to Figure and my brand new turban c/o France Luxe Couture hair accessories (take 30% off through 5/11 using the code 'THANKSMOM'). With the relaxed styling of the jumpsuit, that made the jacket take on a more casual feel. Unfortunately my jacket is no longer available.

I would also like to note that this jacket fits so much better now than it did back in December. I can really tell the difference in my body since I have been working out. Which is your favorite look? Are you a Blair or Serena? I hope this inspires you to remix a statement piece from your closet!

Bendel Bash

Happy Monday! After a super busy week last week, I am finally ready to catch you guys up! Last Tuesday I hosted an AMAZING event at Henri Bendel Lenox Square. As I do before any event, I got super stressed out, but in spite of the weather, I had an amazing turnout and introduced some of my fave followers & friends to a brand that I love.

We sipped sparkling wine and munched on macaroons and checked out the latest line from Henri Bendel.  Inspired by St. Tropez, the summer collection is super luxe and will be sure to have you yacht party ready and Hampton's fab! Below are some of the highlights from the night. I want to thank all of my family, friends, and followers that attended. I also want to thank my friends at Henri Bendel for letting me takeover for the night!

Black & White

It's the first day of May! Where has the year gone? I for one am excited that it's finally consistently warm weather and I can start rocking some fun spring trends. If you're following me on Instagram, you got a little sneak peek of this #ootd post last week. I  love rocking colors and prints, but there is something so effortless and chic about black and white.

Last month my friends over at Lane Bryant sent me a couple of fab pieces that I can see myself living in all spring long. I am normally either a jeans or skirt kind of girl, but I must admit, I am loving my new Lane Collection Satin Cargo Pants.  You know how much I love multifunctional wardrobe staples, and these pants definitely fit the bill. They can go from day to play by simply changing the shoes or rolling the pants up or down. I chose to just snap the pants on the side and let the fabric drape naturally.

To compliment this look I rocked the Lane Collection Paillette Sequin Top also courtesy of Lane Bryant. I added a little sparkle with my fave sequin bag and Shoe Mint pumps. I kept my jewelry and makeup very simple and opted for a breezy beach wave for my hair. This look is perfect for a casual date night and if you roll the pants down and add a blazer, this look can totally be work ready.

What do you think? Sometimes it's just fun to keep it simple. How do you rock black and white? I hope you enjoyed this post and stay tuned for recaps on 2 fab events!

See you on the front row!
