Thursday Three-Way: Lane Bryant Pencil Skirt

Happy Thursday! If you have been following me for a while, you know I love to rock looks that can go from day to play! Because I live outside of the city, going home to change before going out is not an option, therefore my look must be able to transition.

Recently, I scored an amazing ponte knit pencil skirt from Lane Bryant. I was immediately drawn to it because it falls below the knee and it had a cute little hidden zipper over the left knee. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was going to be able to me styled a variety of ways. Last week, I put it to the test. I created a smart, work-ready look by pairing my skirt with what appears to be a basic white shell and my yellow jacket from Talbot's. To spice up the look I added yellow and black color-block city sandals from Shoe Dazzle and my Henri Bendel tote.
After work, I planned on going out to meet my girlfriends for drinks, so I needed to flip this look into something a little more playful. I removed the jacket and untucked the top and added a chunky silver necklace from Chico's. Additionally I unzipped the split over the knee and popped on my FAVE Shoe Mint studded pumps! I neglected to photograph the back of my Fashion to Figure top, but the back is open and has a single button closure.

I took this look one step further and created a date night look. Because the skirt is almost a midi length pencil, I was able to pull it up over my breast and create a mini, bodycon dress. To define my curves I added my Lane Bryant Obi belt and topped it off with my yellow jacket I wore to work earlier that day and a fringe Fashion to Figure clutch. I switched up the shoes and went with a black pump and zipped the split down to only be about 2 inches long.

So, What do you think? I hope you have enjoyed this post and it inspires you to find creative ways to take your look from day to play!

Happy Shopping-

Repeat Offender: Playful Plaid

Yep, I've done it again. I have completely abused a very noticeable piece of clothing and I must call myself out on it. Today's culprit is my custom, Black and White plaid Shang Coleman x Numbered Designs skirt. I scored this skirt back in March just before Lucky Fabb in LA. I originally rocked this skirt with a custom tee and my completely abused Shoe Mint pumps (repeat offender post coming soon). Since then I have rocked this skirt far more than I should have.

Although I am only sharing 4 pics with you today, trust me, I have worn this skirt a lot more times than I have photographed. The reason I can't get enough of this skirt is because it's reversible. For FABB I wore it as designed, but on a couple of occasions I have flipped it inside out and worn it on the double tiered side. My plaid skirt has the perfect amount of swing for twirling, yet it can also be worn to the office which makes me love it all the more.

I would like to tell you that I am going to store it until next season, but I would be lying to you. This skirt will remain a staple in my wardrobe and will live to repeat offend again! Until next time...

See you on the front row!

Gregory Sylvia Handbags

BRAND ALERT!!! Ladies, a fabulous new handbag line has landed on the scene and you won't believe how amazing it is. Gregory Sylvia, named after husband/wife duo Gregory & Terri "Sylvia" Pope, is a line of luxury leather goods comprised primarily of handbags. I had the pleasure of meeting the dynamic duo a couple of weeks ago at an Atlanta media event.

Prior to the event I was gifted a gorgeous, purple Gregory Sylvia Davenport handbag. I'm going to be honest, when I first saw the bag online, I was a little skeptical as to what the quality of the bag would be. I pretty much have a PHD in handbags and there construction after having worked for a top luxury accessories brand for more than 10 years. Needless to say, I was completely blown away when I opened the box and saw the Davenport.

I mean the sheer size of this bag is unbelievable!! In addition to being a great size, the bag is also very sturdy and well constructed. The Saffiano leather has a luxurious hand and offers durability for a woman on the go. I can fit the whole world and then some in this bag. It's so utterly AMAZING, I must have it in the other 2 colors.  Seriously, look at everything that I fit in this bag...

I would put the GS Davenport up against a mega popular designer bag that has a similar silhouette and the GS bag will win every time! I strongly encourage you to check out Gregory Sylvia. The prices are unbelievably affordable and the silhouettes are timeless. Don't sleep on this brand, it's like stealing a little slice of heaven.

Check out some of the other styles I checked out at their preview. Happy Shopping!

Hello Yellow

The other day I rocked a not so mellow, yellow bodycon dress. I actually scored the South Beach Midi Dress a few months ago when Fashion to Figure opened here in Georgia. For reasons unbeknownst to me, I tucked this away in my closet and almost forgot about it.

Thankfully the fashion gods intervened and I was able to discover it tucked way in the back with my winter coats. As soon as I rediscovered it, I immediately knew I wanted to accent it with green. Of course I had to pull out my fave JustFab green Fairfield pumps. To keep along with the theme, I decided to add a green and navy printed fabric belt & green suede clutch, both from Talbot's. The coup de grace however are my fabulous new Anna-Karin Karlsson sunnies that I received for my birthday.

Unfortunately, my dress is no longer available in yellow, however you can score it online in Red & Royal blue at www.fashiontofigure.com . If you are here in the ATL, you can score this dress in lavender, baby blue, red & black at the Arbor Place Mall store. Tell them Parker sent you!

SWAK Designs Red Haute

Happy Hump Day! My instagram was ablaze yesterday about the red maxi dress I posted. I actually posted a pic in it a while back and it also landed in my Plus Model Magazine article. The dress I am wearing is non other than a #fab SWAK Designs Eternity Convertible Maxi Dress. SWAK gifted me with this dress a couple of months ago and it is hands down one of my favorite styles.

I already own this dress in white and adding the red has just been a dream. This dress is beyond comfortable and can be tied a variety of ways to create different looks. Check out how I rocked it, as well as a short video so you can see how it really flows!

See you on the front row!

Paging Parker Simmons..

Happy August!!! I can't believe how fast the summer has blazed by. Since I last chatted with you guys right after I came back from FFFWeek, so many AMAZING things have been going on. Interestingly enough, they all kicked off this month of August. If you have been following me on Instagram, you are already in the know, but for those of you who diligently follow me here, I will get you up to speed.

I kicked off the month with a BANG! On August 1st I landed on the pages of Plus Model Magazine. Can you believe it?!?! Yes me, Parker Simmons, had a full 4 page spread in the famed digital publication. I had the pleasure of meeting Madeline Jones, Editor-In-Chief of PMM during my visit to NYC. Shortly after I returned, we chatted again and voila, a story was born!

As if being a magazine wasn't a big enough deal, on August 2nd, I found myself in print a different way. This time, I grace the pages of Dr. Courtney A. Hammonds' latest book, Reflections of Style. The official book reveal took place at the Atlanta Susan G. Komen Foundation headquarters. My friends at Veev provided some fabulous Vita Frute Cocktails and I had a blast mixing and mingling with the other ladies who appear in the book. If you want a printed version of the book, you can order it online on Amazon beginning on 8/23, however if you are a digital doll you can download the Kindle version today here!

Of course I'm wearing a boatload of Bendel in the book!

As if August couldn't get any better, the following Sunday was my Birthday!!!! I turned 33 on August 3rd and decided to celebrate pretty low key. I popped in to do a little shopping with my friend Brittany at Kate Spade Phipps Plaza. I also met my friend Angela from Twelve 24 Boutique for an impromptu brunch. After chatting for a bit and enjoying a beautiful Atlanta Sunday on the patio at Twist, I ended an amazing weekend with my mom at one of my favorite restaurants.

Now that was one heck of a weekend! August is shaping up to be one for the record books. I am so thankful and beyond blessed for all of the amazing opportunities that have come my way. I want to thank you all for your love and support and for sticking by me throughout everything. Stay tuned, so many other fun things have happened this month and I can't wait to tell you about them. I promise it won't be a month and a half before you hear from me again!

Love you guys & I'll see you on the front row!
