Repeat Offender: JCP Chambray Shirt

You already guessed, it's time for another riveting edition of  "Repeat Offender". If you are new to Everyday Runway, a couple of months back, I saw that I was committing a fashion faux pas by excessively carrying a particular clutch. As I stated before, it would be all good if the majority of my life wasn't documented in photos. However, I have embraced my "Repeat Offender" status and wear it like a badge of honor!

Today I have to highlight my excessive abuse of my sleeveless JCP chambray shirt. I really think I wear this shirt at least once a week. With it's metal buttons and soft, worn feel, it's great to wear on it's own or as an awesome layering piece.  Ironically, as I am writing this blog post, I have to point out that I am actually wearing the culprit in question, lol! I love this shirt so much, I wish I would have bought 2 of them, because clearly at the rate I am wearing this shirt it won't last.

Repeat Offending in progress today!

Don't worry, I will not subject you to seeing me in this shirt for much longer as I am going to officially retire this shirt for the season (maybe).  I have thankfully found a new fall/winter replacement at JCP :-).

I'm sure this will make the repeat offender list soon!

I hope this post gives you a good laugh and also show you the versatility of my chambray shirt. Stay tuned for the next edition of Repeat Offender. You never know what I'll abuse next!

Thursday Three-Way: Sequin Dress #Day2Play

Hey Guys! It's almost the weekend and I can't wait. Do you have big plans for Labor Day? I couldn't let this week go by without giving you some extra style inspiration. Because my Two-Way Tuesday post was really a #ParkerStyle Remix, I decided to give you guys a Thursday Three-Way. Last year you may remember me showing you how to wear a cocktail dress to work, but I wanted to push the envelope this time. I have had a matte sequin dress that I scored at JC Penney (Worthington Collection) last year and until a few days ago I had yet to wear it.

Because everything cool I wanted to wear was either dirty or in the cleaners, I decided to pull out this sequin dress and wear it to work. Yeah, I know that sounds crazy, since my full time job is nothing remotely related to fashion, but my mind was made up. Because we were having a "fall" feeling day here in Georgia, I decided to style my "work ready" look with my denim sleeveless shirt from JC Penney (JCP Collection), Green blazer from Eloquii & riding boots from Lane Bryant.

Belt - Torrid, MacBook Case - Marshall's, Sunnies - Tom Ford, Necklace - Twelve 24 Boutique

If you have been reading my blog for a while you already know that I live way outside of the city, so going home to change clothes is not an option for me. My outfit has to be versatile and able to be restyled to look different or I have to have a change of clothes with me. Thankfully on this particular day, I was able to go from #Day2Play in this look. By removing the blazer and boots and grabbing my H&M fedora and Target sandal, I turned this outfit into a perfect casual Saturday look.

Bag - Vintage Furla, Ring - Masion de Couture Boutique

Finally, to take this dress even further, I decided to wear it for it's intended purpose, as a cocktail dress. By removing the denim shirt and adding an interesting pop of color with my Sole Society heels and a #fabfound clutch from blogger buddy Nikka Shae, I'm ready for date night.

What do you think? The next time you are in a fashion bind think outside of the box. Don't be afraid to take a risk, because a winning look just may be your reward.
See you on the front row!

Beauty Byte: Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

I couldn't think of a better post for this "Hump Day" than to talk about the latest mascara from Too Faced Cosmetics. Appropriately named Better Thank Sex, I found out about this product while attending a holiday preview at Paul Wilmot Communications in NYC this summer. With promises to volumize your lashes 1,944% I definitely had to grab some!

At Paul Wilmot Press Preview

With an hourglass shaped brush inspired by a famous, blonde Hollywood bombshell (I'm guessing Marilyn of course), the Better Than Sex Mascara coats and curls each lash to perfection!  After scoring a tube from Sephora, I enlisted the help of my assistant Brooke to try it out. She is a self professed mascara junkie, so I couldn't think of a better person to give it a try. Below are the results! There was definitely visible lengthening and volume. It officially got Brooke's stamp of approval, which was good enough for me to recommend! Grab the Better Than Sex Mascara at or Happy Shopping!!!

Two-Way Tuesday: Tiffany meets Parker

I had the pleasure of meeting fabulous fashion blogger Tiffany Olson of Tiffany Style earlier this year. I was immediately drawn to her because she had amazing style and she also exuded an air of mystique. She made me wonder, “Who is this girl? Is she a famous socialite? Is she a celebrity stylist?”  Her uncanny ability of mixing high end pieces with budget finds intrigued me even more, so of course I had to meet her.

If I had to describe her style, I would say she's a genteel Sea Island Southern Belle meets the Upper Eastside. The effortlessness of her style and the simplicity in the way she puts her looks together is what makes her style so inspiring. Recently Tiffany posted a picture of herself in Vegas rocking a fabulous black and white top and a printed pair of shorts. I loved this outfit as soon as I saw it and knew I had to give it a "Parker Style" Remix.

I recently scored an amazing skirt via Gwynnie Bee and had been grappling with how to style it. Of course there were the obvious options like adding a coordinating shirt and some awesome jewelry, but what could make it stand out? As soon as I saw Tiffany’s look, I immediately knew I had to incorporate my new black and white Talbot’s jacket to give it that pop!

So, what do you think? I know it's not my typical Two-Way Tuesday post, but I wanted to show you that even if you are plus sized, you can still dress like your straight size friends. Find what works for you and "Make the world your personal runway!"
See you on the front row-

#LipsandHeels #ILoveIndique

You never forget your first love. You remember the day that you met, how you felt when you were with them and all of the fun times you experienced together. My love affair with Indique Hair extensions started about 5 years ago. Indique weave is hands down the best on the market. I have tried it all, but no other hair compares.   Like most relationships, we broke up for a little while because of money, but I recently rekindled my "old flame" while attending the Lips & Heels at the Indique Boutique in Chicago.

We worked together...

We attended events together...

Three fabulous bloggers, Trina Smalls, Raijean Stroud, and Danyelle Little officially took over Indique Chicago for one of the most amazing events I attended all summer Just Fab, Valloh Apparel, Verizon Wireless and of host of other amazing brands sponsored awesome giveaways and gave us some even better swag.

Speaking of giveaways, I won the Jawbone Up from Verizon Wireless! I can't wait to share more info with you about it once I receive it. All in all it was an amazing event and I had a blast. Check out some of my fave moments from the event below! I am also stoked to tell you that Indique Atlanta opened this past Saturday and they will be having a Grand Opening Celebration this Saturday the 31st! You know I will be in the building! I hope to see you there!
