Happy New Year 2016!!

It's 2016! Can you believe it? I am super excited to be ringing in a new year refreshed and renewed. I know I have been ghost for like 6 months, but so much has happened since I last spoke with you guys. It's funny how things turn out sometimes. We schedule, plan and prepare yet fail to realize that life is unexpected. That thing we were so sure about, may not go quite as planned and it's how we handle those unexpected bumps that define us.

In 2015, a lot of unexpected things happened both good and bad. There were times when I thought that God had forsaken me because what I planned on happening didn't. What I have learned is that God's plan for our lives does not always coincide with what we think should happen and what on the surface may seem devastating, is really a blessing in disguise. How even in the midst or our suffering, we are being groomed for greatness and our stories become the inspiration for someone else who may be going through the same thing.

I was so hopeless and in one of the lowest place I had ever been in my entire life. I was literally just existing from day to day and not really living. On the surface I appeared happy, vibrant and even thriving, but underneath it all i was walking around just the shell of a person. Someone deeply hurt and feeling completely alone and destined to be that way for the unforeseeable future.

Just when I thought all hope was lost, God made his vision apparent to me. Opportunities that on paper I should not qualify for and people that I never knew could exist started entering into my life. When you are being prepared to walk in your purpose old things are done away with and new things are set before you.

I am so proud to say that I am a renewed Parker. I realize that this walk isn't just about me, it's about using the gifts that God has given me to empower and encourage everyone that I encounter. It's about using my platform and influence to glorify His name and to let someone know that when things seem to be completely overwhelming, your breakthrough is just a prayer away.

With that all that being said, I'm leaving the past behind me and am looking forward to a productive and successful new year! I encourage all of you to dream bigger dreams, expect greater blessing and most importantly, "Make the world your personal runway!"

The Big Reveal

Hey guys! I know I kind of left you hanging with that #ScandalDriven blog post but I'm going to make it up to you today. This past Thursday I had an amazing time at RBM North Mercedes dealership for the official reveal of both the new CLA 250 and the new S class. Of course I went with hopes of falling in love with the CLA and maybe even bringing one home, but those dreams were dashed as soon as I saw it. Though it is an amazing machine and absolutely beautiful to behold, it's entirely too small for me. I think this vehicle is more appropriate for a sweet 16 or a college age girl headed off to school. It’s definitely not something for me.

On the other hand, when the cover came off of the new S550, I fell in love! I really don't know where to start! This car is massive and it's fully loaded with luxury. To give you an idea of the demand for it, RBM North already has over 40 people on a waiting list chomping at the bits to shell out a cool $120k to own this beautiful piece of machinery. This is both a car you want to drive and be driven in.

The view from the backseat is absolutely breathtaking. With the panoramic roof top and 43 degree reclining seats with calf and foot rests, you can experience a hot stone massage or one of the 6 other massage settings. Need to catch up on some work? The new S550 boasts it’s own in car WiFi hotspot and with optional folding tables that rise from the rear console, you can comfortably return emails or finish up a report or blogpost ;-). Tired of work and want to play? With dual 12 inch monitors built into the headrests, unwind with your favorite DVD while your companion plays a video game. Need to decompress after a long day? Enjoy your favorite beverage at it’s optimal temperature with the heated and cooled cup holders in the rear console. Also, choose one of 4 aromatherapy scents to enhance the cabin while choosing your favorite of 7 ambient lighting themes. The new S550 is fully illuminated using all LED lighting both inside and out.

Tired of the view from the backseat? Just wait until you jumped behind the wheel of the new S550. On the standard model packing over 440hp, this car is a straight beast wrapped up in a sleek, aerodynamic package. Although I haven't had the pleasure of taking it for spin yet, I did live vicariously through Mercedes customer Roosevelt Anderson and his Sales Consultant Greg Lapina as they recanted the story of their test drive the prior weekend. Roosevelt absolutely loved it and wants to upgrade his E Class in the near future. His lovely wife Cassandra on the hand says it would be in the “way, way, way, way, way future” If you know what I mean :).

Although the new S550 is slightly out of my budget, a girl can dare to dream. Mercedes went above and beyond with the endless luxurious features on this model. I only scratched the surface of all the amazing attributes. It really is something that has to be experienced.
