#FFFWeek Curves at Sea White Party

Hey Guys! I landed in NYC earlier yesterday morning to cover Full Figured Fashion Week 2014 as an official FFFWeek VIP Blogger! This year is really special because unfortunately it is the finale year! Although things officially kicked off on Monday, I was able to fly in just in time for one of the highlight events of the week. The Curves at Sea White Party is definitely the place to see and be seen.

For an event of this magnitude I didn't want to wear off the rack, so one of my favorite brand partners Twelve 24 Boutique stepped in to help. Under their boutiquelabel Numbered Designs, Designer Shang Coleman customized an ensemble for me that effortlessly chic. Shang updated the classic shirt dress and created the perfect blend of a men's tuxedo shirt and a hi-lo hem dress.

I paired my dress w/ my Henri Bendel jewelry and bag, Lane Bryant shoes and a Michael Kors watch. If you haven't noticed, I am also sporting a new Indique Hair look of which I'll go into more details about later this week.

After a few street shot pics, I hopped in an Uber Black and headed on over to Sky Port marina for the Curves at Sea Cruise. Brand partners Angela & Melanie from Twelve 24 Boutique joined me and we boarded the boat. Fun was definitely had by all and this Fashion to Figure sponsored event was totally sold out. Below are a few pics from last night. Follow all of my adventures at FFFWeek on my Instagram and check back here daily for updates.

Melted Lipstick

I know you are reading this title and thinking about that time you left your makeup bag in the hot car and your lipstick melted. Come on, we have all had it happen. In this case, that's actually not what I'm talking about. On a recent trip to Sephora I stumbled upon a fabulous product by Too Faced called Melted Liquefied Long Wear Lipstick! I know that's a mouthful, but boy is it AMAZING!!

If your favorite lipstick and your favorite lip gloss could have a baby, it would be Too Faced Melted Lipstick. Boasting ten bold colors, this product is made for longevity but also keeps an amazing shine. After trying on a couple, I decided on the Melted Fuchsia.

Photos c/o Too Faced website.

I absolutely love how vibrant the color is and that is it long wearing. I first rocked it in Sephora and then for my friend Tammie Reed's birthday Brunch. It only takes a little and definitely packs a colorful punch that is sure to turn heads.  This is definitely one of my fave new Lippy's and because it's already melted, you don't have to worry about cleaning up a mess!

Miss Me Jeans

As a blogger, I'm blessed to get to try out some amazing brands. Occasionally, something may not work for me, so my fabulous assistant Brooke gets to give it a try. While in the gifting suite at Lucky Fabb, I saw something that I knew would make Brooke extremely happy; a table full of Miss Me Jeans. You have to know her to understand how obsessed she is with this brand. I think she must wear them at least 4 times a week.  Because they don't come in my size, Brooke was the lucky winner!

When the jeans arrived a couple of weeks ago, she was a good sport and let me style her. A true southern girl at heart, I decided to keep things close to her roots. I paired her new Simple Five Pockets Midrise Skinny Jeans with her own plaid shirt and sandals. Of course no photoshoot is complete without  some Henri Bendel props, so I added my new Miss Bendel Plus bag, necklace, bracelet and go to travel cup. We rounded things out with my Fashion to Figure sunnies for a look that says country girl meets city chic.

Isn't she totally adorbs?!?! She thought the jeans were super comfy because they were stretchy and she loved the way they made her butt look.  Whether you're wearing them for day or play, you definitely need a pair of Miss Me Jeans in your fashion arsenal! Most of their jeans range from size 25-34, however Brooke's jeans only go up to a size 31. Although this is more of a straight size brand, if you are on the smaller end of the curvy spectrum Miss Me definitely has something for you. Special thanks to Miss Me for the jeans!

See you on the front row!

France Luxe Hair Accessories

Hey Guys! How's it going? I have been spread so thin lately that I feel like I have neglected you guys. After taking a little time for myself, I think I have finally gotten my head on straight. Thank you so much for sticking w/ me and finding your way back to Everyday Runway.

In celebration of getting my life together, I decided to kick things off with my latest obsession. If you follow me on Instagram then you have already heard me mention France Luxe Hair accessories. I have also mentioned them here on the blog in my Blaire meets Serena post where I rocked an amazing turban from them.

I first fell in love with this amazing brand at Lucky Fabb. Prior to meeting their amazing marketing crew, the scope of my hair accessories was some drugs store black hair elastics. Thank the heavens my eyes were opened and a new obsession was born. In the gifting suite at FABB I received an L. Erickson Grab & Go Pony Tube Set. I truly was blown away that the ponytail holder stayed in place all day. I mean literally did not move.

I was also gifted a $50 dollar store credit and a fun Enamel Bamboo Pony Cuff. I then won a $150 gift card in an Instagram contest they were sponsoring. Needless to say, I went a little wild. I had to order another pony tube set, the turban and some other amazing goodies. Probably one of my fave things from the haul was the L. Erickson Bedlah Beaded headband.  I rocked it last week for the first time and am still swooning over it.

Yes, that's a #SephoraSelfie !!! I was trying out a new lippy that I will tell you about later!
If you're wanting to step your hair accessory game up, I definitely recommend checking out France Luxe Hair Accessories. Additionally, be sure to check out their YouTube channel. They give you some amazing styling tips. I hope you have a blast discovering one of my fave new brands!

A Day In St. Tropez

Summer is just around the corner. Wouldn't you love to spend a week in the South of France?!? In honor of their new St. Tropez inspired collection, my friends at Henri Bendel are partnering with Kensington Tours and giving away a fabulous trip two St. Tropez & Nice. Through May 18th, enter to win this luxurious getaway. In addition to the trip, the grand prize winner also receives a $500 Henri Bendel gift card and Henri Bendel Travel accessories! How amazing is that?!?!

Because I've already won in my own mind (lol) , I already know what I would wear my first day there. I would rock my white JCP jeans & Ikat shirt (last year) and my gold glitter Kate Spade for Keds sneakers (holiday 2013). To keep my look St. Tropez chic, amping up the accessories is essential. I would definitely rock my new Miss Bendel Plus Barrel bag & Voyager Statement Necklace both c/o Henri Bendel. To round out the look I would add my Fashion to Figure straw fedora & sunglasses.

What do you think? To me this look totally screams summer chic. If you haven't seen the latest collection from Henri Bendel, be sure to stop in your local store or check them out online. I hope to see you on the beaches of St. Tropez!

Thrifting Atlanta Style Wars

A couple of weeks ago I had the most amazing time styling a look for the Thrifting Atlanta Style Wars Competition. Now, I wouldn't classify myself as a true thrifter, but I do love mixing in the occasional thrift store find to create a fun look. My style trend to interpret was pastels. I immediately hit my local thrift stores but didn't have to go far. As soon as I walked in, I found a diamond in the rough; a vintage 1980's bridesmaid dress.

Now I know you're probably thinking, WTF?!? Obviously this dress is about 10 sizes too small, but it didn't matter because I knew I was going to deconstruct it. After some creative cutting and elastic maneuvering, I was able to create a wearable skirt. I also repurposed part of the bodice to cover a sun visor to create a fun accessory for my 1920's golfer themed ensemble. Don't ask me where I get these ideas, they just pop in my head and somehow come together to look half way decent.

To round out the look, I added my chambray shirt from Target, Banana Republic sweater & flats, LA Lynn's Accessory Shop necklace/bracelet and Just Fab bag for a pop. Later on at the competition, I added a vintage golf club to further complete my look.

What do you think? I know it's a lot look, but I had so much fun putting it together. Sometimes all it takes is a little creativity to put an interesting spin on an unexpected, thrifty find.

Two-Way Tuesday: Blair meets Serena

Last summer I scored an amazing jacket from the Iman Global Chic collection for HSN. I have told you about Iman's fab collection before, but this jacket for me was EVERYTHING!!! I didn't really know how I was going to style this jacket, but I knew I had to have it. The silhouette of it was very Chanel inspired which instantly made it a classic piece that could be styled a variety of ways.

I originally rocked this jacket back in December for an amazing Christmas Eve Dinner with my mom. I first paired it with my ASOS Curve peplum top and skirt. I was channeling my inner Blair Woldorf from Gossip Girl with my headband and lady like pumps for this look.

Now for the switch... Last Thursday at a #FAB fashion show at Neiman Marcus I decided to channel my inner Serena Vanderwoodsen. I paired my jacket with my black jumpsuit from Fashion to Figure and my brand new turban c/o France Luxe Couture hair accessories (take 30% off through 5/11 using the code 'THANKSMOM'). With the relaxed styling of the jumpsuit, that made the jacket take on a more casual feel. Unfortunately my jacket is no longer available.

I would also like to note that this jacket fits so much better now than it did back in December. I can really tell the difference in my body since I have been working out. Which is your favorite look? Are you a Blair or Serena? I hope this inspires you to remix a statement piece from your closet!
