Month at a glance...

Hey guys! I know it's been a while, so rather than try to individually recap everything I have been doing, I decided to share what I did this past month in pictures! I have been a very busy girl, but promise to try to do better to keep you in the know. Thanks for sticking with me and enjoy my "month at a glance" !

See you on the front row!

❤ Parker S.

Kicking off the month and  Curves Fashion Week 2012 w/ my BFF Nikka Shae @bloomingdales Lenox Square! Designing duo The Unique Sisters dressed Nikka & Australian Designer Evie Foster was also on hand to join in the festivities.

Ran into my friends Nikka Shae & Chrystal Jackson (The Thiq Boutique Owner). Ripped the runway with BFF Portia Clyde, and was dressed in SWAK by  Melanie & Angela (@1224boutique Owners).  Gorgeous necklace provided by my designer buddy Rean Fisher (Enjeanious by Rean, owner)

Got my football on at Charisma Lounge for the kick off of the season with Ladies Pigskin Sundays sponored by LPS Consulting PR and Nissan! Had a blast with my BFF's Nikka Shae & Kiwi Durham!
Going CRAZY over the fall/winter 2012 collection by Youtheary Khmer at Twelve 24 Boutique! Ran into my girls Cassandra Mason (Gems N Baubles Owner) & Nicole Clark (Wole' Designs Owner)

Had so much fun with BFF's Kiwi & Nikka while covering the launch of  Nicole Richie for Impulse at Macy's Lenox Square! Insurance Agent to the stars, Katie Harris decided to join in the fun and DJ OMG, totally set the mood. Also made a new friend, Liz from Blondette Style! She is my style sister, we both have a Betsy Johnson Lobster Necklace! :)

Me and the girls, found out the 5 Reasons Men Cheat while covering a heated discussion at Bar One Atlanta! BFF's Nikka, Breck, Dea, SoSo, Lynn & Tosha were on hand to get in on the action! Also, Rasheeda from Love & Hip Hop was a panelist!

Me & BFF's Nikka, Breck, Dea, Portia, Keren, & Lynn supported our sister ChaKiva Felder and joined team Spoiled Diva at the 6th Annual Sickle Cell Celebrity Bowl-A-Thon! Not only were out logos on the back drop, but R&B Crooner Joey Beanz of The Rude Boys was our celebrity team captain! We also ran into the #gorgeous RL from the R&B group Next!

Happy Birthday Breck!!! Me & BFF's Nikka, Keren, Tosha, Lynn & Portia met up at Gekko Sushi & Lounge to celebrate Breck's 28th Birthday. We also ran into some other blogger buddies while noshing on savory bites.
After partying with Breck, BFF's Nikka, Lynn & I met up with SoSo & Cassandra to cover Love & Hip Hop star Momma Dee's Birthday Bash. Angela, co-owner of Twelve 24 Boutique was also on hand, but not pictured above. She provided my dress for the evening! Of course we ran into our FAVE celebrity chef & honorary BFF, Gregory Dulac aka
The Bow Tie Chef

After Recouping from Momma Dee's Party the night before, I met my girl Cassandra at our friend Angela's boutique (Twelve 24 Boutique) to style Biba the Diva of for the BET Hip Hop Awards. During our style session, I tweeted out a pic of my dress from the night before, there was one left in the store!!

After leaving from Twelve 24, I jetted over to Fashion Style Studio, owned by my BFF Keren Charles.  Had a blast playing with fun baubles from Wendy of Just Jewels 4 U and ran into my BFF's, Kerrie & ChaKiva! I also got to help Keren do a little styling with one of the models for Fro Fashion Week!
Obviously I was living on caffeine that day, because after leaving Fashion Style Studio, I ran down to Studio Couture to cover the book signing for new author Jeremy Mallard's book, Georgia Boy. Had so much fun hanging with my FAVE celeb stylist AJ, and also had the pleasure of Momma Dee and her crew hanging with me in the blogger's booth. I also ran into the always #fresh Tyson, co-owner of Studio Couture and had a great time interviewing Jeremy, the guest of honor. Full book review coming soon!

Taking the advice of blogger buddy Dee-Dee better known as Miss Foodie Fash, I decided to grab a bite with a friend at Food Truck Tuesdays in Smyrna! Can we say #YUM!!!

Finally rounding out this crazy month, I had an amazing time covering the self proclaimed Date Diva, Shay Williams' book release party for her newest book, Value Your Vagina. BFF's Nikka & Dea were on hand to cover as well. We had a great time checking out the latest in adult novelties from Janine, owner of Toy Closet NYC. I had a pleasure of meeting Jack Daniel, counselor & author, who is also looking for a wife!!

A few months ago I was introduced the brand Sealed With A Kiss, better known as SWAK. While attending the Sonsi #beyoutiful pop up party at #fffweek, I scored some items from SWAK in my gift bag. I am always stoked to try new products, but I had no idea that I would be putting my SWAK swag to the test so quickly.
Having walked around NYC everywhere for the previous 2 days, not only did my feet hurt, but my thighs were seriously chafed. Now if you’re not fat, you will idea what I’m talking about, but imagine your skin rubbing together so bad that it’s raw! Not a good feeling! Thankfully the sun, moon and stars all aligned and The Perfect Leggings and Felicity Poncho were in my gift bag. They were a fat girls beacon of hope on a hot, summer day!

After settling back in my hotel room, I immediately put on my new leggings and poncho. The leggings really are perfect. Besides saving my already raw thighs, the leggings stayed perfectly in place. Sometimes leggings will sag in the crotch or slide down your butt, but these were absolutely amazing.  Because the leggings are a rayon/spandex blend, they feel more like a super opaque footless tight than traditional cotton leggings.
In addition to the leggings I received the Felicity Poncho Top in the most amazing shade of green. I decided to go for broke and put it to the test, too. The whole ensemble was such a welcomed bit of elegant comfort that I was able to continue exploring the city the rest of the afternoon.

After returning from NYC, I scored some additional SWAK at Twelve 24 Boutique, here in Atlanta. This time, I went for something more elegant; the Anastasia Convertible Maxi Dress in white. I had such an amazing time trying it on in the store and couldn’t wait to wear it out. I decided to dawn this look at the Curves Fashion Week Indie Showcase. Armed with a FAB statement necklace from Rean Fisher, my SWAK dress was both elegant and comfortable. I felt like a million bucks in it and like I was wearing super soft lounge wear.

The moral of this story is, if you love to look great and be comfy at the same time, choose SWAK!
Besides, everything is better when it's Sealed With A Kiss!

#BFFtweetup meets #FNO2012

This past Thursday, me and my BFF's celebrated Fashion's Night Out. Now, we have done several tweetup's in the past, but this was the biggest and most successful yet! Our night began at Neiman Marcus at Lenox Mall. While enjoying bottles of chilled Evian and chatting with other guests, Nikka Shae and I tried out new fragrances and chatted with fellow fashion mavens.

After leaving Neiman's we ran into more of our BFF's and dashed across the street to Phipps Plaza to continue our FNO Mall Crawl. After landing at Sak's, I indulged in a polish change and tried one of the latest fall colors from Dior. We also ran into the rest of our crew and our FAVE caterer, The Bow Tie Chef! After getting hand treatments from Virgina w/ Bvlgari and posing for some pics, we were supposed to be headed to Lilly Pulitzer, but made a minor detour into Jeffrey Atlanta!

The BFF Crew begins to expand... me and some of my blogger besties!
On a regular day, Jeffrey is, but on FNO, Jeffrey was transformed into a FAB seventies disco party! We had a blast dancing with the disco dancers and noshing on sweet treats and cool drinks. We really worked up a sweat, therefore the unexpected King of Pops surprise we found in Lilly P, was right on time.

Although Lilly P was a little more laid back than Jeffrey, the store looked AMAZING!!! Their color palate and effortless styles were enough to peak any fashionista's interest. In addition to great clothes for moms and their minis, Lilly P also has great accessories. After toasting to a successful night, we decided to continue our mall crawl and hit the red carpet at Belk.

Gorgeous store and dislpays @lillypulitzer

Welcomed treat @lillypulitzer from @kingofpops

Cheers to the good life!

@virtuousstyles & me chatting and resting our feet @lillypulitzer
There's nothing that tickles my fancy more than a red carpet and a step and repeat. Of course, Belk had both on a true diva scale. Me and all my BFF's had a blast posing for individual shots and group shots in front of the vast backdrop. After we had thoroughly exhausted ourselves and the photographer, it was time for us to head to the last stop of the night, Twist.

Moi looking FAB in @enjeanious necklace/bracelet, @talbots jacket, @youthearykhmer skirt & @target clutch

Once we arrived at Twist, we were greeted warmly and immediately ushered back to our private seating area. During our dinner we ran into some of our fellow bloggers and designer buddies while enjoying delicious bites. Once dinner was finished and the last check was paid, we all went outside and snapped more photos and enjoyed our time together.

@virtuousstyles being FAB!

I must honestly say, this was the best night ever!!! Not specifically because it was Fashion's Night Out, but because the power of bloggers uniting is truly amazing. What we were able to accomplish that night was truly one for the records and if it's indicative of what the future holds, I can't wait!!! To all you naysayers, the BFF train is at the station... get on board now or risk getting left behind!
